Health Issues

Q.: My cat has been throwing up almost every day for the last 6 months, is that normal? I have always fed my cats Iams dry food. The cat eats normally without gobbling and it was dewormed a few months ago. I am a bit worried that something could be seriously wrong with her. I should maybe also remember to mention that previously she was very cuddly, but since the last visit to the vet (she was to be neutered, but it turned out that "he" was a female as we had first thought. Rather embarrassing.) She has been acting very strangely. He gave her a sedative. But we postponed the spay. She doesn’t want to be touched at all. If we try to cuddle her, she just walks away.

A.: It is normal for cats to throw up once in a while, but not that often. I think you should talk to your vet about this. The change in her temper could indicate hormonal changes. If she has been on the pill for a while there could be some side effects from these... If the cat doesn’t like going to the vet, you could maybe have the vet come to your home instead?
