Health Issues

Q.: After a traffic injury - head trauma/has been seen by a vet - we were to ensure it gets water by means of a small syringe, since it doesn't want to/isn't able to drink on its own - how much does it need minimum?
It still doesn't eat after two days - we have managed to get a little water into it.
Apart from being very limp it does seem to be recovering, out of pain and clearheaded.

A.: The daily fluid need of a cat is roughly 80 ml. per kg. weight. So if your cat weighs app. 3 kg., for example, it would need about 240 ml. a day.
If it doesn't want to drink much at a time, then give it a little, but often, and write down how much it gets. Try to replace some of the water with cream (better tolerated by cats than milk) in order to give it some calories as well.
If it doesn't start eating soon, I think you should call the vet again.
