Between Cats

Q.: I have had two cats before and one just died a week ago and the other one who is about twelve years old keeps hissing at me and the kitten he seems jealous when I hold the kitten how can I make my older cat feel that I love him too?

A.: Spend more time with the older cat than with the kitten (I know it's difficult), who is busy exploring its new quarters and therefore doesn't need your attention quite as much as the older one.
