Care

Q.: Me and my girlfriend are looking to get a kitten, and there is a place where I live that sells them for $40.
The place doesn't get their cats any shots. We want it to be strictly an indoor cat and I have heard that indoor cats don't need to get shots. I am skeptical cause I have heard that cats should always get shots. My question really is how important is it to get your cats shots even though it will always be indoors?

A.: If a cat is supposed to live an indoor life, it still needs shots, but not for nearly as many ailments as if it is to live an outdoor life.
For an indoor cat I would recommend shots against cat distemper and cat flu.
