Q.: For how long does one have to train a male cat? All its life!
I presume that it is because of their tendency to always "challenge" the "top cat"?

A.: I agree with you that training cats is a lifelong project.
However I don’t agree with you that this tendency to challenge your authority is special for male cats. Females just have a much more refined way of doing it - one seldom realizes one has been "had", at least not until it is too late...
