A.: Neutering a female usually costs about DKK1000.
Usually the cat only changes personality for the better because the frustrations that go with a female in season are eliminated. Females who have been on the pill may also experience a better temper; one of the side effects of being on the pill for extended periods is cysts on the ovaries. In itself this is not dangerous, but it hurts and a cat with these cysts can be irritable.
Very rarely a neutered female may become somewhat "grumpy" after being neutered, but this can almost always be helped by a short period of hormones.
