Q.: Can/will a neutered male carry out a mating (without producing kittens of course) with a female in heat?
Does a neutered male respond to the calling of the female?

A.: Some male neuters respond quite appropriately to females in heat - there are even breeders who use neuters (known under the nickname of "teaser toms") instead of oral contraceptives.
A mating will - whether sterile or not - postpone the next heat a couple of months.
