Bad Litterbox Habits

Q.: We have to female cats, who share the same litter box, which hasn't been a problem until we moved to a new apartment 2 1/2 month ago. Our youngest cat has chosen several corners where she urinates, although she uses the box for feces.
She eats and drinks normally, so we have - more or less - ruled out health problems. By now we have read/tried everything we've been able to figure out to change this behavior, which is probably due to the move, but we hope you have a suggestion.

A.: There are several possibilities. The move may have disturbed the power balance between the two cats so that they may need two separate boxes.
Given her age it is also possible that she is becoming sexually mature, so that this is the reason rather than the move.
So my suggestion is that you try at first if it might help to have her neutered; if that doesn't help, you're welcome to write again.
