Q.: Our lovely kitty girl of the breed "Great Confusion" is just about a year old. She had her first heat at Christmas time and is now in heat for the third time.
The last two times have coincided with my period and now I am wondering if my hormones maybe influence her to go into heat or if it is just a coincidence that it happened at the same time?

A.: That theory is certainly plausible, but science does not know anything for sure about it. But it is well known that women who live together over a longer period of time tend to "synchronize" their cycles.
When I am still a little doubtful in this connection, it is because the cat rather ought to synchronize with your ovulations, if there were to be a logical, biological connection. It is here a parallel can be drawn between the two species.
But as I mentioned, it is not impossible.
