Q.: I have a 4 year old male who was adopted by me after many months of fostering him for a local animal shelter.
Ever since he was a kitten he has had chronic sinus problems. He was on several different antibiotics for over a year, none of which helped to cure his problems. To this day he is constantly sneezing with a stuffy nose and watery eyes. His sneezing has gotten worse and he literally sneezes out foot long discharges.
He eats well and is otherwise a very healthy cat. Are there any suggestions for possible homeopathic remedies?
A.: I must admit I'm not an expert on homeopathics, but I know that a lot of cat owners have felt this has helped their kitties, as well as acupuncture and kinesiological treatment.
But I think one thing needs to be checked by a vet first: chronic sinus problems that can't be helped by antibiotics make me suspect some sort of allergy might be at work here.
So I think you should discuss this possibility with your vet.
